About Snout & Stray
Snout & Stray is a nonprofit resource dedicated to the care, welfare, and rehoming of miniature pigs and dogs in Crownpoint, New Mexico. We believe every animal deserves a safe, loving place to call home — whether that's here with us or in a family that's found their perfect match.
Founded and run by Alisha Largo, Snout & Stray is a small, hands-on operation. We currently care for 12 miniature pigs and 5 dogs, and some of our younger pigs are available for adoption to loving homes.
About Our Animals
Miniature Pot Belly Pig
Miniature Pot Belly Pigs are intelligent, affectionate, and highly social animals. Originally from Vietnam, they became popular as companion animals in the 1980s. Despite the name “miniature,” they typically weigh 50–150 lbs as adults.

- ·Highly intelligent — can learn tricks and routines
- ·Social — do best with companionship (pig or human)
- ·Need outdoor space and a pig-proofed environment
Miniature Hampshire Pig
Miniature Hampshire Pigs are known for their distinctive black-and-white belted coat — black body with a white band around the shoulders. They're calm, friendly, and well-suited to life as companion animals with proper care.
